Who doesn’t love a good mockarita? Especially one with a little extra zing?! The heat from the jalapeño in our Spicy Market Mockarita adds a refreshing yet bold kick—the perfect warm-up on a cool Vermont night. But if you aren’t a fan of spicy drinks, feel free to omit the jalapeño.
The Recipe

What You’ll Need
- 1 ½ oz. (3 Tbsp.) freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz. (2 Tbsp.) freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1-2 tsp. agave nectar
- 1/3 c. Polar seltzer (or sparkling water of choice)
- 1 Tbsp. tajin seasoning (or coarse sea salt)
- 1-2 jalapeño slices (plus more for garnish)
- ice
- extra slices of lime and orange for garnish
Instructions
- Pour tajin seasoning onto a plate.
- Cut a small notch into a lime slice and run it over the rim of your cocktail glass.
- Dip rim of glass into tajin seasoning.
- Carefully muddle the jalapeño slice(s) in your glass.
- Add lime juice, orange juice, agave nectar, and ice to glass. Stir vigorously until combined (about 15 seconds).
- Add Polar seltzer and garnish with citrus wedges and jalapeño slices.
- Pretend you’re somewhere tropical and enjoy!
Substitutions:
- Try using blood oranges or grapefruit in place of regular oranges.
- Feel free to add some tequila for an alcoholic version.
- Rim the glass with coarse sea salt for a classic margarita.
