Six Ways to Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is coming up! If you’re a little behind on your Valentine’s planning, don’t fret! We’ve got everything you need to make your Valentine’s Day extra special. Here are a few ideas:

Sweets for Your Sweetie(s)

Whether your Valentine is a chocolate, caramel, or cookie lover, we’ve got the perfect something to show how much you care. Pick up a box of assorted chocolates from Vermont companies like Champlain Chocolates and Laughing Moon Chocolates. Or these beautiful baked goodies from Lesley Hall’s Sweetie Pies in Weatherfield, VT.

Valentine’s Cheeses

A beautiful cheeseboard is the perfect way to kick off a romantic dinner for two. We brought in some delicious Valentine’s cheeses for the weekend. Pictured here are: Date Night Chevre from Boston Post Dairy, Organic Triple Heart from Champlain Valley Creamery, and Chocolate Capri Cheese Logs from Westfield Farm. Two special Valentine’s cheeses from Lazy Lady Farm will be here this afternoon!

Love-ly Desserts

Wondering what to serve for dessert? Our bakehouse has been busy pumping out all kinds of love-ly treats. You’ve got one more day to place your order for Valentine’s desserts, including our heart-shaped flourless chocolate cake. Orders must be received by Friday, Feb. 11, at 4 p.m. for pickup at our Woodstock store on Sunday, Feb. 13. Or stop by the bakery case this weekend to see our latest creations.

We’ve got sparkling wines from all over the world. Along with lots of mini Champagne bottles, perfect for gifts or dinner for two (if you’re planning on an early ski day!).

You could go out. But why brave the cold when you can dine in? Check out our weekend Surf & Turf specials, available in Woodstock only, (Friday to Sunday, 2/11-13): 10% off tenderloin, rack of lamb, and hot & sweet Italian sausages; and 15% off scallops, tuna, and mussels.
