Dear community, AMAZING CUSTOMERS! I begin this weekly update with nothing short of a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU. Between the online Farmers’ Flood Fund and anonymous community donors, we have raised $170,821 to help offset payroll expenses during this period of closure. Your support and generosity has been nothing short of astonishing. We live in a truly special place and your generosity is overwhelming. To repeat, your community funding is a critical component of our plan to keep the staff from having to lose benefits and wages by collecting unemployment. We have now funded two payrolls thanks to you. And, hot off the presses, we are now able to extend that to one more payroll—which will be coming out toward the end of August. You guys are awesome. I thank you—our staff salutes you. AMAZING CONTRACTORS! The main reason we remain on schedule is because our local contractors are on the same page, hyper focused on getting us open quickly. Here is a list of our true heroes. These guys have been incredible. Standing ovation please.
AMAZING TIMETABLE! Lastly, here is the latest construction news. Our timetable for reopening remains mid-September; that’s still a full month earlier than we ever dreamed. Reconstruction at week’s end continues at a frenzied pace, with all the walls being completed, painting and flooring beginning, and some equipment and shelving being put back in place. Many compressors have been repaired or replaced. A special thanks to our relentless reconstruction team leaders, Brandon Little and Matt Pomeroy, for keeping everyone marching and on time. It’s great to see our wonderful staff start to trickle back in, grabbing the bull by the horns—cleaning, painting, moving and scrubbing. We are getting ‘er done. Next week: more reconstruction projects but our full-scale Reopening Plan will begin to be put into place. I will elaborate on that soon. See you next week. Patrick
