April 28th, 2026

Feelin’ like spicing up your Cinco de Mayo tacos this year…literally? Check out these hot sauces from Angry Goat Pepper Co.!  Their creative and versatile hot sauces are handcrafted in small batches in Bradford, VT. They use all natural ingredients to create their heat and flavor. No extracts here!

Our grocery team put together a selection of four sauces that allow you to choose your intensity level. They range from smoky and sweet to melt-your-face-off spicy. How brave are you?

Red Armadillo: Mild

Angry Goat Pepper Co Red Armadillo at Woodstock Farmers' Market.
Heat Level: 3/10

This smoky hot sauce combines New Mexican red chiles with real Vermont maple syrup. It’s an excellent choice for tacos because it complements the complexity of the dish without overpowering the flavors. It’s mild, lightly sweet, and approachable!

Yellow Flamingo: Medium

Heat Level: 4/10

Lookin’ for something light and fruity with a touch more heat? Yellow Flamingo is perfect for you! It starts with the tropical flavors of mango and banana (yes, banana) and hits you with orange habaneros at the end.

Purple Hippo: Hot

Heat Level: 8/10

Don’t let the peaceful looking hippo on the bottle confuse you! This award-winning hot sauce packs a punch. It’s fruit-forward and totally unique. Purple Hippo blends the bubblegum flavor of prickly pear with strawberries, habanero, and a kick from scorpion peppers. Sounds strange, but the flavors end up working in perfect harmony.

Demon Reaper: Extra Hot (Seriously)

Angry Goat Pepper Co Demon Reaper at Woodstock Farmers' Market.
Heat Level: 12/10

As the name and graphic suggest, this is Angry Goat Pepper Co’s hottest sauce. It’s made with Carolina Reapers and, unexpectedly, roasted sweet potatoes. What makes this hot sauce incredible is its ability to make you breathe fire while still allowing you to taste the complex flavors of this face-melter. Give it a try if you dare.
