The Best of the Best: Good Food Award Winners

The Good Food Foundation recently announced its 2022 Good Food Award winners. And we’re super excited to share with you the 16 award winners we carry at the Market—quite a few from right here in Vermont.

Every year the organization receives over 2,000 product entries from all 50 states. There are 17 different categories, from coffee and beer to charcuterie and snacks.  Each product completes a blind tasting, followed by a rigorous vetting process to ensure they meet environmental and social responsibility standards. So it’s a HUGE honor to be selected as a winner.

Why We Belong to the Good Food Foundation

Here at the Market, we’re committed to supporting small companies who have missions similar to ours: dedication to quality ingredients, integrity in business practices, and involvement in their communities. We like to know the people who make the food we sell.

To that end, our membership in the Good Food Foundation makes it easy to meet makers from all over the country. The organization helps bring growers and makers together with independent retailers around the country. Ultimately, this is a big win for food lovers everywhere who gain access to tasty, unique, and responsibly sourced foods.

You can find many of this year’s winners right on the shelf at the Market. If you want to try some out for yourself (which we highly recommend), just look for the Good Food Award signs around the store. Also, keep an eye to our social media pages for spotlights on some of these amazing producers!
