FAQ: Holidays at the Market


We’re working hard to make your holiday shopping experience as safe and stress-free as possible. Here are a few important things to know about our online ordering process and what to expect at the Market this holiday season:

Q. How do I order my holiday hams, roasts, and desserts?
A. As of Sunday, 12/20, we are no longer taking pre-orders for holiday catering and meats & seafood. Please visit us at the Market (see hours below) for your last-minute holiday preparations.

Q. How do I pay for and pick up my pre-ordered items?
A. All items can be purchased online for pickup outside the store at our contact-free concierge area. There is a $20 deposit for most meat & seafood items; you will pay the balance at pickup on either Wednesday, Dec. 23, or Thursday, Dec. 24. If your order total is less than $20, you will be reimbursed the difference at pickup.

Q. What if I can’t order online?
A. If you don’t’ have access to a computer or are having trouble ordering online, please give us a call at 802-457-3658 and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Q. Will Farmers’ Curbside be available for all of my regular grocery needs?
A. Yes, but only through Tuesday, Dec. 22. So place your pre-Christmas order early (slots will fill quickly)! Farmers’ Curbside service will be suspended Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 23-24. Curbside pickup times will resume on Saturday, Dec. 26.

Q. Can I shop in person at the Market?
A. Yes, the Market is open Tuesday through Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., throughout the holiday season.

Special holiday hours:

  • Open Monday, Dec. 21, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Open  Tuesday, Dec. 22, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Open Wednesday, Dec. 23, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Open Thursday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve), from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Closed Christmas Day.
  • Open Saturday, Dec. 26, through Thursday, Dec. 31, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Closed Friday, Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day)
  • Open Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 2-3, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Closed Monday, Jan. 4.

During busy times, we are asking families and groups to designate a solo shopper to help us get everyone through the Market as quickly as possible. One person per party, please!

Q. Will I have to wait in line to enter the Market?
A. We will continue to limit the number of customers in the store at one time, in order to create a safe shopping experience for all. So we encourage you to shop early during Christmas week to avoid the last-minute rush.
