Our Kitchen and Bakery serve outstanding breakfast and lunch sandwiches, incredible hot entrée lunch and dinner selections and mouth-watering desserts, cakes and pies. Espresso, strong fresh coffee along with a wide array of morning pastries help get your day started. And our hands-on kitchen staff is available to help with small weddings, meetings and parties. We take our food seriously at the Woodstock Farmers’ Market. We use premium ingredients for all our take away and catering foods. And what sets us apart from many other kitchens is our passion and experience: our kitchen and deli are staffed by professionals with varied backgrounds that bring years of culinary experience to the job. Plus we all just love great food. And we love to talk about it, so when you come in to buy, we’re thrilled to answer your questions and help you with recipes.
To give you an idea of all that we do, here’s a quick rundown. We make great breakfast goodies like our own pastries, muffins, scones and coffee cakes, plus supplement our own kitchen with wares from other fantastic local bakeries. Our bagels are made in the traditional Brooklyn style by a bakery right down road. We also brew the best cup of java around, with beans roasted just for the Market.
We are also famous for our big, creative deli sandwiches, daily hot lunch specials, salads and house soups, including vegetarian selections. And for dinner, there is no limit to Chef Brandon Little’s imaginative selections. Our specialty is comfort food with a twist; a creamy, rich macaroni and cheese, burritos with just about any fillers, Turkey dinner, Market BBQ turkey meatloaf, Indian curries, seafood stews or anything and everything with pork!

Our on-site bakery cranks out our own famous cookies, cakes, gourmet brownies and pies. We specialize in “quick breads” too like our killer banana or pumpkin breads. Our bakery believes in big flavor, pure ingredients and no cheap fillers or shortcuts. We make a killer crème brulee, cupcakes and fine pastry desserts too. Our grocery department keeps a wide array of specialty and everyday groceries on our shelves and speeds our guests through our checkout with the latest technology and pleasant, speedy service. We specialize in hard to find unique food products like olive oils, marinades, chocolates and jams from Vermont and the world all over.
Make your meals something special with our wide variety of extra virgin olive oils, pastas, marinades and condiments. Look for our “staff favorite” selections featuring the latest, greatest food finds from around the country and around the world! We have a passion for finding the latest and greatest from all over the world.
We also have plenty of everyday groceries as well, from fresh local eggs to Vermont milk and locally-made granola. You’ll always find new and intriguing ingredients and brands on our shelves.
We also feature a great selection of well-priced wines to round out your meal. We think of wine as food you can drink, and believe it doesn’t have to be expensive to be delicious. Our resident beer expert stocks brews for every taste, and is always on the lookout for interesting and tasty new selections.

Produce & Garden Center
Our produce department serves the absolute freshest conventional, organic and local produce available while our garden center is home to some hardy locally grown perennials and unique annuals including plenty of local pumpkins and mums in the fall and holiday greenery and Christmas trees in the late fall.
Produce is our backbone. We pride ourselves on obtaining the freshest and highest quality organic and conventional produce available—whether from our local farm connections or from the Boston markets. Our displays are piled up high and fresh. . .we pride ourselves on our bounty! About 70% of our produce business is local in the summer!!

The Garden Center is open! We are staffed Tuesdays-Sundays from 9am-6pm. In the Summer we have Hanging Baskets, Herbs, Annuals, Perrenials, Soils, Mulches and more! In the Fall we carry pumpkins, mums and more! For the Holidays we carry Christmas Trees, wreaths and more for all your decorating needs!
Seafood & Meats
Our seafood and meat departments in our deli are the place to find the freshest seafood north of Boston and the best hand cut meats and all natural poultry in the Upper Valley. We also search for local or all natural meat suppliers whenever possible.
Are you kidding? Fresh seafood in land-locked Vermont?
You bet. People drive for miles just to buy our seafood. And with so much attention on where it comes from these days, you can trust that we purchase only the freshest from wholesalers that we trust.
You’ll find everything from your typical New England staples like sustainably caught cod and grey sole to more regional catches like wild caught fresh sablefish, wild striper, sushi grade tuna, or swordfish. We have great access to the freshest wild and farm-raised shellfish—mussels, oysters, shrimp and clams—and with a days’ notice can get you the closest thing to a Maine lobsterfest you’ll ever find in interior New England.
Like everyone, we are concerned about over-fishing and how and where the fish we sell is caught. We only carry seafood and shellfish from authorized sustainable fisheries and we work closely with Wood Mountain Fish, Black River Produce and Earth and Sea to bring the best sustainable seafood available.
In the mood for meat?
We are the Upper Valley hot spot for exceptional quality beef, lamb and pork, and we purchase “all natural” (no antibiotics or growth hormones) whenever possible. Increasingly we focus our meat program on supporting Vermont farmers—we carry a full line of local and free ranging poultry, local grass fed beef and local, all natural pork.
Cheeses and Deli Provisions
We carry over 50 Vermont cheeses as well as fine cheeses from the world all over plus as a plethora of deli style provisions such as olives, roasted red peppers, pre-packaged cheeses and dry salamis. And we slice to order fresh deli meats and cheeses. Our coffee tops none in the Upper Valley: we have our own micro coffee roaster in Maine—and they ship us fresh roasted coffee beans every week with many of our offerings fair traded and organic.
Our selection of farmhouse artisan cheese is the best in the Upper Valley, with a wide variety of international choices and hard- to-find selections along with our Vermont favorites (many of the world’s finest cheese comes from our neighbors around the state!) Plus we offer a wide array of our own appetizers as well as deli provisions from dry salamis to fresh olives. We slice deli meats and cheeses to order.
Our coffee selection is second to none. For the past 20 years we have partnered with a small micro roaster in Maine who ships us exceptional selections, roasted fresh every week. Stop by for the freshest, strongest coffee around. And if you really need a pick me up our Espresso Bar is open all day for the best buzz around.
We take running our business profitably pretty seriously and have a back office team of folks focused on the bean counting. Plus getting the word out about our Market is fun and our marketing group keeps our name out there with excellent announcements on social media, on our website and in our store.
