Celebrity products are everywhere. When I found out that Joe Perry made a hot sauce I yawned. But our resident hot sauce expert at the time (who happened to be a good musician) suggested that we not dismiss it so quickly. And indeed he was correct. It was fantastic…not overly hot but with a smoky sweetness that really complimented almost anything you added it to.

Then lo and behold, Joe moved to the area. Now mind you, every now and then an entertainer will grace the Market and it creates quite a buzz. But when Joe comes shopping, it's like a regular day at the Market. Quiet, unassuming and humble, Joe buys up some of our finest ingredients when he's here cooking in Vermont. Now that I know he's a foodie, it makes perfect sense that his hot sauce is actually good and not just another gimmick.

Boneyard Brew — the original. Made with habaneros and sweet red peppers, balanced with onions, garlic and lime, and made smoky by chipotle peppers. Delicious, and not too hot to enjoy over most anything. Or try his newest Mango Peach Tango—a fantastic, sweet-hot sauce milder than his original. It is sweet with heat and is great in recipes that need more flavor than just heat.
