Dell' Amore Premium Marinara Sauce-Original Recipe

I know you can find this stuff everywhere but it is truly some of the best shelf stable sauce around—and frankly, it even beats out some of the nice fresh sauce you see in the refrigerator section of your favorite market.  Frank Del Amore started selling his sauce years ago up near Burlington—in a time when there was no such thing as “gourmet pasta sauce”.  Ragu was all there was. I used to go up in my truck and buy it by the case load because he did not deliver to Woodstock.  Now, it’s just another Vermont business success story but the quality is the same.  Big chucks of tomatoes and garlic, olive oil, nicely seasoned with a hint of fresh oregano and basil.   It’s fantastic—what else can you say?  We even use it in our kitchen when we’re pinched for time when we have to make chicken marinara or even lasagna.
